Vintage to Vogue Beginning to End

This post is a documentation of the transformation of Vintage to Vogues store front window. They are a vintage clothing shop located in downtown andGreensboro. The purpose of this project was to bring an eye catching display to a locally owned shop and draw attention to their products. Jennifer is the owner of the store and she was very nice to work with and gave great feedback. this was a group project so I would like to give credit to Andrew Poole, Edythe Eddinger, and Pamela Liles. This was a semester long project where we were tasked with doing a linen color analysis, textile print, sculpture and gallery all inspired by one piece of artwork. I had the pleasure of going a painting by Sean Scully named Wall of Light Peru. Below are the boards that came from each project.

Window Display Case Study

This is a Case Study on window displays for stores. I tried to focus on interesting eye catching displays with different materials that would be easy to recreate.   http://vmsd.com/content/holiday-windows-2016-part-i This window display is in Singapore and it is for Christmas time. I think that they did a good job because of the way  they used lighting in the display and the way that they used it to reflect off the glittery edges of the folded paper. the clothing is black to make it stand off of the white back ground and contrast merchandise they are trying to sell. This is a fancy store so I'm sure their budget is more than most but recreating this wouldn't be hard. You would just need to cut and fold paper and either glue or spray on glitter to create the shine they achieved.
