IIDA Trade Show Booth

This was a competition for IIDA to design a trade show booth for them and have it featured at the upcoming Orgatec conference in Germany. We went to trade shows as a class and had speakers who work in the industry come in and give talks order to educate us for when we designed our booths. At the end of the project we selected 10 classmates to be submitted in the competition and mine was one of them I was very proud of this project and I think it reflects in the work I did.

This environment embraces the idea of a community, much as a hive provides a nurturing environment for bees. The environment is welcoming, and members will feel at ease when relaxing and talking. The repetitive use of hexagons all throughout will bring a feeling of depth to the space. The hexagons are representative of the honeycomb formed by a community of bees, which reference IIDA's emphasis on networking and communities. This space embraces the IIDA mission in a unique and abstract way. The design is intended to attract visitors so that they may learn more about IIDA.  Comfortable seating, flexible table surfaces, and the use of digital technology will be featured in the design. A meeting area for 6 people to meet and talk about the organization will be included, as well as a more relaxing area with a few seats so members can come in sit down and take a break from the show. There is a dividing wall that is curved and gives people who are meeting a bit of privacy from the rest of the space.
